The People’s Courts made a fine place for many of our coworkers to practice staying out of the kitchen and learn to defend against chainsaw (spin) serves. 

Things started off with a dramatic upset to the number one seeded team, “Sohaila” falling to the upstart Vancouverites Chad Lawrence and Chris Espeland from team “The Couv”. 

Way down at number seven seed, team “Marinara” (Nathan Jordan and Alfredo Gonzalez) was busy racking up wins, defeating “Last Resort” and “Ducks that Drink”

The championship match pitted our wildcards from Vancouver, USA against team “Marinara”, the unlikely but powerful team representing the IT and Architecture departments at Mackenzie. 

In the end, it was team “Marinara” that poured it on thick to secure the victory. Nathan Jordan and Alfredo Gonzalaz took home matching GOAT trophies and the responsibility to defend their titles next year.
