Join Daniel as he interviews 2025 summer interns, Molly, Petra, Mari, Jadon, Cassadie, Davin, Erin, Autumn, Caleb, and Andy. He checks in about their experiences and what they're working on.
Mackenzie internships provide students a strong foundation for future careers through work on real projects and career-building mentorship from experienced professionals.

Students are integrated into the design process and work on a variety of project types and sizes. They gain real-world experience. Because Mackenzie is a multi-discipline firm, the intern will also gain experience working with different disciplines such as interior designers, structural engineers, land use planners, landscape architecture and civil engineers.
Typical work experience for an intern includes attending project site visits and client meetings, assisting with construction documentation, supporting project-related graphic needs, attending Mackenzie office events and more. The position requires the ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
These opportunities allow students to work on a wide variety of projects currently in design; apply classroom-learned topics to real-world situations; validate their chosen career direction; experience hands on mentorship; and attend Mackenzie’s in-house training programs.
Internships are paid positions, and the schedule is flexible with availability for up to 40 hours per week.
