The renovation of PacTrust buildings 240 and 241 resulted in reinvigorated and reimagined building cores and new connectivity between the two buildings. PacTrust, a real estate development and investment property firm, inhabits the space and was deeply involved in the design and remodeling process.
DESIGN DRIVERS
The 240 & 241 buildings are similar, with parallel redesigns.
In each building core, the central staircase was opened to the lobby and new amenity spaces, creating a connective communal area.
The design team worked closely with PacTrust on phasing to keep the building open during construction, and this logistical coordination maintained egress in the core areas throughout the remodel.
